And let's dive into the world of music together. Let's go! Hi everyone. Usually each weekend I sit down with my brother to chat about music and catch up on how the week has been. But this week things are a little different.
[00:01:03] He had to head in for surgery on his lower eyelid, so he's been out of circulation for a bit, meaning no instrument playing or songwriting for him just yet. I did give him a call to check in, but unfortunately I couldn't record our conversation. My phone started popping and cracking like it's got some sort of short in it, so I'll be taking that straight to the shop this week to have it checked out.
[00:01:26] Even without our usual co-host, I wanted to hop into a quick update on my week. On Saturday night, I presented the David Bowie Tribute Show. The band was absolutely fantastic and did a wonderful job bringing Bowie's iconic songs to life. It was actually my very first show at Manly Leagues Club. While the audience was on the smaller side, it's a great starting point and I know we'll build the crowd right back up over time.
[00:01:53] Looking ahead, my next show is Come Fly With Me, the songbook Frank Sinatra, coming up on Friday, November 6th. I'm also staying busy working on my upcoming programs for Radio Northern Beaches, so keep an ear out for those. That's all for this quick update. Thanks so much for tuning in.
